Five years in the making!

It’s been five years in the making but yesterday, we made history in our community, through the GENEROUS support of our community, we are so proud and overjoyed to announce that the permanent trans and progressive pride flag crosswalks have been painted and are here to stay!

The Board of Lethbridge Pride Fest Society cannot contain our excitement and pure joy to see these crosswalks installed to showcase the diversity within our small, yet mighty community. We’d like to thank everyone that helped in the application process, bringing it to City Council for approval, the construction workers, the City of Lethbridge officials who supported us through this project and also allowing us to change our original rainbow flag design to the new progressive flag which we believe could very well be the FIRST permanent progressive pride flag crosswalk! And the biggest thank you belongs to our community, our family, we would not have been able to fund this dream without your generous support through the years.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you so much, Lethbridge! We cannot wait to celebrate the Return to Pride with you all very soon.
