The Pride Film Festival returns for June 2022! Join us in the Theatre Gallery at the Main Branch for four nights of queer film - and popcorn! All films will begin at 6:00 PM and will be shown with closed captions.
June Film Schedule:
June 7 - Flee: Tells the extraordinary true story of a man, Amin, on the verge of marriage which compels him to reveal his hidden past for the first time. Animated documentary in Danish with English subtitles. (89 minutes, rated PG). Presented in partnership with the Lethbridge Public Library
June 14 - Dating Amber: Two school friends decide to start a pretend straight relationship in an effort to fit in. (92 minutes, not rated). Presented in partnership with the Lethbridge Public Library
June 21 - Wildhood: A rebellious two-spirit teenager runs away from home to find his birth mother and reclaim his Mi'kmaw heritage. (99 minutes, not rated). Presented in partnership with the Lethbridge Public Library
June 28 - Shorts!: A selection of short films from a variety of perspectives. A full title list with summaries will be available shortly.
